Most of the WMA’s online courses follow a standard format. Occasionally an online course incorporates a recorded WMA conference; then it follows the conference format.

Standard format

  • Receive assigned reading
  • Study and reflect upon that reading
  • Participate in class assignments (homework) and forums (discussion)
  • Receive feedback from the facilitator and/or (in the case of forums) from the other class participants
  • Respond back to this feedback

Conference format

  • Receive assigned reading plus audio and video files
  • Listen to the audio files, watch the video portion, and follow along in the assigned reading
  • Study and reflect upon the information
  • Participate in class assignments (homework) and forums (discussion)
  • Receive feedback from the facilitator and/or (in the case of forums) from the other class participants
  • Respond back to this feedback
