The WMA’s online courses differ from our regular courses in:
- Geographical base – online participants may come from different countries and even different continents
- Format – online courses usually are taught in a more intensive format, with the participant investing approximately five to six hours per week, for four to twelve weeks
- Interaction – online interaction occurs in forums, where participants post their own observations about the topic under consideration, and read and interact with the observations posted by other participants
- Cross-fertilization of ideas – since participants may come from all parts of the continent and world, they bring with them a significantly broader perspective, outlook and general life experiences, thus enriching course interaction
- Feedback – online feedback between facilitators and participants, and between participants themselves, is provided through e-mails, assignment comments, and forum comments
